Ricardo Teodoro, born in Governador Valadares and raised in São José de Safira, Minas Gerais, gained international recognition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival by winning the "Newcomer" award for his performance in the Brazilian film *Baby*.
However, his artistic career began long before, with over 20 theater shows and 15 audiovisual productions to his credit, spanning 16 years. Teodoro holds a degree in Performing Arts from Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (CAL) and a postgraduate degree in Cultural Management from SENAC-SP.
He began his career in 2008 as an actor and producer in his hometown 's CIA “Asas do Invento” and later worked with renowned theater companies, including Grupo Tá na Rua and Companhia do Latão.
His Cannes success was a significant milestone, marking him as only the second Brazilian actor to achieve this honor since Rodrigo Santoro in 2004. In *Baby*, directed by Marcelo Caetano, Ricardo portrays Ronaldo, a streetwise mentor to a young man recently released from a Youth Detention Center. Currently 36, he continues to expand his career, with upcoming projects like *Cyclone* and *Super-Homem* in post-production.
