Edgar Morais
Edgar has directed music videos for various bands such as Mothxr and Grammy-nominated Shiny Toy Guns. Edgar's narrative directorial debut, the short film “Heatstroke”, screened in competition at PÖFF, Maryland, ISFF Detmold, FEST New Directors New Films and IndieLisboa and won the CinEuphoria award for Best Screenplay. His next film as a director, "We Won’t Forget", screened at over 25 festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest, Hamptons IFF, Woodstock, Tirana, Dresden, Rooftop Films, IndieLisboa and Rio de Janeiro and won the Grand Jury Prize and the award for Best Editing at Castrovillari, the Honorable Mention at FEST New Directors New Films and was nominated for a Portuguese Academy Award (Sophia) for Best Short Film and was selected as Vimeo Staff Pick and Short of the Week. He is currently in production on the feature film “You Above All” that he wrote and directed set in rural Portugal set for a 2025 release, and on a still-untitled feature set in Los Angeles with a cast that includes Olivia Thirlby, Lou Taylor Pucci and John Robinson among others.
