Edgar Morais é um ator e realizador português premiado, com um percurso internacional em cinema, televisão e teatro. Trabalhou com cineastas como Teresa Sutherland, Gentian Koçi, Tiago Guedes, Victoria Mahoney e Craig Viveiros, entre outros, em projetos que passaram por festivais como Cannes, Veneza, Fantasia, Gotemburgo, Salónica, Vila do Conde e Roterdão.
Protagonizou A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On, de Gentian Koçi, candidatura oficial da Albania aos Óscares, interpretação que lhe valeu o prémio de Melhor Ator no Festival Internacional de Cinema de Prishtina e uma nomeação para o Globo de Ouro de Melhor Ator de Cinema em Portugal.
No teatro, integrou A Tragédia de Júlio César, encenada por Luís Miguel Cintra, distinguida com o Globo de Ouro de Melhor Espetáculo de Teatro em Portugal.
Terminou recentemente as filmagens de The Odd Enchantment of Madame P, de Sara Driver, ao lado de Mathieu Amalric, Maria de Medeiros, Emily Beecham e Trine Dyrholm, entre outros.

Edgar Morais is an award-winning Portuguese actor and filmmaker with an international career across film, television and theatre. He has worked with filmmakers including Teresa Sutherland, Gentian Koçi, Tiago Guedes, Victoria Mahoney and Craig Viveiros, among others, with work featured at festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Fantasia, Göteborg, Thessaloniki, Vila do Conde and Rotterdam.
He played the lead role in A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On, directed by Gentian Koçi, Albania’s official submission for the Academy Awards, earning Best Actor at the Prishtina International Film Festival and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Film Actor in Portugal.
His theatre work includes A Tragédia de Júlio César, directed by Luís Miguel Cintra, which won the Golden Globe for Best Theatre Production in Portugal.
Edgar recently completed filming The Odd Enchantment of Madame P, directed by Sara Driver, alongside Mathieu Amalric, Maria de Medeiros, Emily Beecham and Trine Dyrholm, among others.
